It’s always a thrill to visit the homes of the rich and famous, at least it was back in the day. Luckily for the owners of these homes, the information wasn’t as easy to get. But now, with the onset of the super highway known as the internet, you can get any information – including addresses of famous horror houses – with just a few keystrokes.

There is no doubt that visiting famous horror houses that appear in scary movies would be a fun activity to do during the festive Halloween season. Now we will take you on a tour of some of the most famous horror houses you have seen in the most iconic horror movies of all time. Fasten your seatbelts – it’s time for our short tour!

Our first stop in our famous horror houses tour is Michael Myers’s house from the “Halloween” movies. The fictitious location is in Haddonfield, Illinois, but the actual address is 1000 Mission Street, South Pasadena, CA, 91030. This house is where a young Michael Myers murders his sister (in the movie, of course).

The house shown in the film “Poltergeist” in the beautiful little fictional community of Cuesta Verde is located at 4267 Roxbury Drive in Simi Valley, California. A six-foot scale model was used at the end when the house imploded. The actual house is still standing and in perfect condition in Simi Valley. By the way, 2022 is the 40th anniversary of the “Poltergeist” movie.

Wes Craven’s “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is one of the best horror movies ever because Freddy Krueger gets inside your dreams. Freddy Krueger’s house is located at 1428 North Genesee Ave in Los Angeles. This is the house where Freddy stalked Nancy Thompson’s dreams – technically, it’s the house where Freddy slept.

This little tour of famous horror houses was fun to write about. It brought back childhood memories for our staff!
