When Bright Living approached ADG with a vision for their client’s new front-yard water feature, the goal was simple yet refined: create a sculptural element that not only complements the modern architecture but also interacts beautifully with the natural movement of water. The result? A striking floating installation of bronze lily pads that brings both elegance and engineering brilliance to life.
This water feature isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about responsiveness. The bronze lily pads were designed to float effortlessly, rising and falling with the water level. To achieve this delicate balance, ADG employed a subtle yet effective technique: adhering clear half-dome acrylics to the underside of each piece to trap air bubbles, creating natural buoyancy. The installation appears weightless, yet it’s grounded in careful craftsmanship and thoughtful engineering.
Organic Detailing, Handcrafted by Artists
Every vein on the bronze lily pads was hand-engraved by ADG’s artisans, ensuring the detail felt as organic and true to nature as the inspiration itself. The realism of the metalwork adds an unexpected softness to the structured lines of the green-tiled basin. As light dances across the water’s surface, the textures of the bronze come to life, transforming the feature into a living sculpture.
