best baseball stadiums
Spread the Word

So what are the best baseball stadiums in America? It actually depends on who you ask, so rather than offend anyone who happens to be reading this blog, we will approach this subject from a more enlightened point of view. A point of view akin to life. This should be interesting.

All people are unique, and so are the best baseball stadiums. In fact, all baseball stadiums are unique. For example, take Fenway Park, which is home to the Boston Red Sox. Some consider Fenway one of the best baseball stadiums. It has the Green Monster, which is unique only to Fenway.

For those wondering what the Green Monster is, the answer is it is a pet name for a huge wall that stands 37 feet, 2 inches high, and stretches 231 feet across Fenway’s left field. It is a favorite among right-handed hitters. For fans and right-handed hitters alike, this Green Monster makes Fenway Park one of the best baseball stadiums around.

So other than what is regulated and required by the rules, the way a baseball park is designed could land it on the list as one of the best baseball stadiums.

As human beings, we all have done different things in our lives that make up our history. This history is made up of accomplishments, people we have met, kindness, or just because we were there when something remarkable happened. As it turns out, the best baseball stadiums are the same.

This brings us to Wrigley Field, home to the Chicago Cubs. The original name when it first opened in 1914 was Weeghman Park. The Cubs played and won their first home game against the Cincinnati Reds in 1916. The score was 7-6 with eleven innings. That is a great omen when you win your first home game in your new baseball stadium.

William Wrigley Jr., the chewing gum tycoon, acquired the Chicago Cubs in 1921. Their stadium was named Cubs Park before being renamed Wrigley Field in 1927, and it just sounds and feels right.

Wrigley Field is considered one of the best baseball stadiums because of its history and accomplishments. On February 1st, 2004, Wrigley Field was designated a Chicago Landmark. Then on September 23rd, 2020, Wrigley Field was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark.

Regardless of which is the best baseball stadium in your opinion, all baseball stadiums are the best because they represent family, happiness, and the great American pastime of sports.
Fans give all their energy so their team can win…and is akin to prayer. Nothing can happen without that energy.
