Perched along Malibu Road, this project embodies refined modernity and timeless craftsmanship — a collaboration that brought together Gerald Olesker’s visionary design and ADG Lighting craftsmen’s mastery in metalwork and illumination.

A Golden Welcome: Custom Illumination & Metalwork

The project, which began as a simple exterior lighting renewal, evolved into a renovation and enhancement of multiple spaces. The crown jewel: a striking bronze gate with shimmering golden panels that catch the California light with subtle brilliance. Every component, from the handcrafted gate to the precision-built outdoor fixtures and shade structures, was made-to-order — part of a $250K custom fabrication effort that redefined the home’s architectural presence.

From Sketch to Reality

The design process began, as it often does at ADG, with Gerald Olesker’s hand sketches — explorations of geometry, proportion, and light interplay. Material studies followed, with bronze, brass, and patinated finishes evaluated alongside the client to achieve the perfect tone and texture.
This thoughtful collaboration extended beyond the gate: new exterior light fixtures were crafted to complement the home’s linear architecture, while elegant, illuminated mirrors inside introduced a sculptural glow to the interiors. The rear terrace received a custom metal shade structure that balances sun protection with modern aesthetic clarity — blending form, function, and fabrication precision.
