La Mesa 3 poolside ADG Lighting

ADG Lighting Project Tees Up Breathtaking Views

La Mesa 5 Copy

ADG Lighting is proud to have collaborated and contributed to the custom lighting of a majestic property in the Los Angeles area. This contemporary Westside property offers upfront views of the magnificent Riviera Golf Course, with a resort type atmosphere and an open, free flowing floor plan.

We designed and fabricated several planters, which were placed throughout the exterior of the home from curbside to poolside and overlooking the Riviera Country Club golf course. The 30 planters range from oversized 36” square x 48” boxed planters with liners, to dramatically long 5 foot low slung planters with drought tolerant succulents, planted by Seasons Landscaping. Other fixtures around the mid-century home included triangle lanterns with antiqued mirrors and mesh lights.

Glass walls and a large central skylight add to the natural ambiance of the home. Amenities include stone and hardwood flooring, skylights, walls of glass, formal living room with wall fireplace, chef’s kitchen, home theater, wine cellar, master suite with bonus space, guest suite with kitchenette, lounge areas, pool, spa, and a sitting area with a fire pit.

The elegance and comfort of the home is greatly enhanced by the thoughtful custom lighting fixtures by ADG. Our expertise in the collaborative design and manufacture of the contemporary lighting added significantly to the value of the property, which is estimated at $20 million. This home is the perfect way to experience the comfort and elegance of golf course living, while enjoying the seaside beauty of the Pacific Ocean.

Award Winning Condos in Marina del Rey Available for Sale

One of the highlights of our work here at ADG Lighting was the opportunity to work on Latitude 33, a 45-unit condominium complex in Marina del Rey that was once an office building. Built in 2010, the complex received much recognition for its adaptive reuse of an old building, including two Gold Nugget Merit Awards.

Michael Strahan Steps into the ADG Limelight

Another celebrity home adorned with ADG Lighting is making headlines! It turns out NFL star and Good Morning America Host Michael Strahan has just rented an Italian style villa with his fiancée Nicole Murphy in the Beverly Park area of Los Angeles, formerly owned by a Russian businessman and his wife. The elegant estate features our custom made chandeliers and exterior lanterns.

The lanterns were inspired by Italian iconic 18th century pieces. Then design extraordinaire Gerald Olesker added a modern influence to the pieces.  All were made in solid brass and heavily oxidized; the sandblasted seeded glass clipped corner cubes are suspended from a brass forged arm.

The 10,575 foot property, with 8 bedrooms, 10 baths, a guest house, and a resort style pool, is worth an estimated $20 million. Other famous neighbors who have lived in the area include Wayne Gretzky, Mark Wahlberg, and Tim McGraw.

The magical touch of ADG’s own Gerald Olesker is also seen throughout 22 other homes in the exclusive Beverly Park and the North Beverly Park HOA. Olesker and his team did some work for another celebrity who resided in the Beverly Park area –Wheel of Fortune letter turner Vanna White.

Richard Manion Architecture Light Fixtures with CEO of ADG Eco Lighting

Richard Manion Architecture – Light fixtures designed by Gerald Olesker & manufactured by a company that Mr. Olesker has ownership in. The following are a few projects completed with a Who’s Who of celebrated homeowners in noted communities of Bel Air, Beverly Park and Brentwood Park. These are part of the 3 billion dollars of real estate worldwide that lighting CEO Gerald Olesker has designed and manufactured custom light fixtures for.

Colonial House, Holmby Hills: This classic colonial house in Holmby Hills was modeled after the great 1930s Bel-Air estates by James Dolena and Paul Williams, this American Colonial Revival home reveals the streamlined influences of the Art Deco and Art Moderne periods in Los Angeles.

Terre Lago, Brentwood: Drawing inspiration from the Palm Beach estates of the 1920s and ’30s and Hearst Castle, this residence opens with a formal groin-vaulted foyer. The two-story living room is 25 feet long and 31 feet high and has an elaborate wood ceiling with stenciling that took six months to apply.

Villa Santus, Beverly Park: Meant for entertaining on a grand scale, this estate was based on 16th-century villas in northern Italy. The entry drive sequence—through a tower portal into an enclosed motor court with the house on one side and a hillside vineyard to the north—is reminiscent of arriving at a fortified hilltop town. The raised entry terrace elevates the house above the motorcourt and provides overflow space for parties.

Richard Manion is perhaps the city’s last great traditionalist, but he sounds downright modern when it comes to his advice to homeowners, “Build smaller than you think you will need and with better quality that you think is necessary. You will  appreciate both in the long run.”

Gerald Olesker agrees with Richard’s comments in the December issue of View Coldwell Banker. “This is a statement I have enjoyed philosophically when working with Richard and his former partner Bill Habliski. Even when we manufactured lighting fixtures for Bills home in Lake Austin Texas we took this same approach.”

Quality is important and integral to the architectural process and lasting qualities of the built environment.
