Custom High End Homes Get the ADG Touch Again 20 Years Later

Starting Over At the Beginning

Isn’t it funny sometimes how life repeats itself and things come full circle? Twenty years ago, Gerald Olesker began a trend in lighting fixture design and manufacturing. Some of the projects he was a part of include working with Rios and Associates in Bel Air Crest, for a anonymous philanthropist and with Michael Berman on the Marciano home (founder of Guess Jeans) on Kip Drive. He also had the opportunity to work with Sandy Gooch (founder of Los Angeles based Mrs. Gooch’s specialty chain of health food stores bought by Whole Foods) on a spec house in Mulholland Estates.

Updating the Creative Design

Now, twenty years later, many of these properties have changed ownership and the new occupants are inviting us to provide new lighting creations for the property, to reflect their individual style and taste. Because of the high quality design and construction of those fabulous designs from twenty years ago, the current property owners are demanding that we repurpose or find new homes for those iconic pieces. They are surprised at how the work from twenty years ago has retained an extremely high market value and are in high demand for placement in other homes.

Relating to the Geography

Bel Air Crest- Strategically located in between Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley off the 405 Freeway off Sepulveda Boulevard. With approximately 200+ homes this resort style community has amazingly beautiful landscaped common areas and streets, an amazing clubhouse with enormous pool & entertainment areas, four tennis courts, basketball court and putting greens.

Prices ranging from about $1.5 million for the townhouse homes to $20 million for one of the larger custom homes.

Mulholland Estates is a guard gated community in the Beverly Hills.  The entrance to the community is located on the north side of Mulholland drive, between Beverly Glen and Benedict Canyon. A very attractive feature of Mulholland Estates for its residents is the high level of security offered to the community. This feature is highly sought after with high profile celebrities and business leaders alike.

The homes in Mulholland Estates range between 6,000 square feet and 12,000 square feet. Most homes were constructed in the 1990’s. Home in the Mulholland Estates, generally selling from $5,500,000 to $8,000,000.  Some of these prestigious residences do come up for lease, with monthly rental rates ranging between $25,000 per month up to $40,000+ per month.

Premier LA Lighting Firm Brings Artistic Vision to Four Diamond Wisconsin Hotel

Los Angeles – December 2, 2015 – Four Diamond boutique hotel Delafield Hotel has enlisted the expertise of leading Los Angeles based firm ADG Lighting for the renovation of their grand ballroom.

Design firm Paper Dolls Interiors has developed a key relationship with ADG to design and develop the decorative lighting for the hotel. ADG Lighting has been tasked with the custom design, manufacturing, and engineering of a floating ring chandelier, measuring 93 inches in diameter. A series of the chandeliers will be placed in the grand ballroom, a spacious area featuring rich cherry columns.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to work on one of the best hotels in Wisconsin,” said Gerald Olesker, CEO and founder of ADG Lighting. “The vintage beauty of the property is undeniable. From putting pen to paper and developing the concept for the chandelier, to the engineering and manufacture of the fixtures, the process has been both exciting and inspiring,” he said.

With ADG’s expertise in manufacturing antique style pieces and fixtures, the entire project has been custom designed and led by Olesker, who has been the artistic vision behind some of the world’s most recognized and notable hotels and properties. His client roster includes the MGM Grand Las Vegas, Bellagio, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, Oceana Hotel, the SLS Hotel South Beach and the Manhattan Country Club.

His team is also behind the current remodel for the City of Beverly Hills Gateway, as well as several other major projects. “Creating functional detail through decorative lighting and architectural ornamentation is our signature work, and is sought after by many of our clients,” said Olesker.

The Delafield Hotel has been named as one of the Best Hotels in Wisconsin by U.S. News Reports in 2013 and 2012, selected as Inn of the Month by Country Living, and featured in publications such as Luxury LivingCS (Chicago Social)Exclusively Yours and Madison Magazine.

Bringing Design Talent to Beverly Hills

Hi, my name is Gerald Olesker, the creative mindset behind the collaborative groups derived from Architectural Detail Group, ADG Eco Lighting Products and ADG Lighting. As part of several capital improvement projects occurring throughout Beverly Hills, we were selected to design and fabricate several light fixtures for the city’s new monuments. I would like to take a moment and share the story with you.

Working in conjunction with contractor ICON West Inc., the award-winning Agoura Hills based lighting firm fabricated several monument light fixtures for two gateway features, located at the intersections of Wilshire/San Vicente and Olympic/Spalding. The custom LED light fixtures, which met Title 24 requirements, were designed at ADG’s Agoura Hills design studio. All of the fixtures were then fabricated in ADG’s Chatsworth, California manufacturing facility. The design team at ADG has also been instrumental in designing decorative lighting and metal work for 23 homes in the famed Beverly Park neighborhood. The current remodel of Spago Beverly Hills is ADG’s latest restaurant couture lighting project for the city.

We were thrilled at the chance to be a part of such an important project. These gateway monuments represent the face of Beverly Hills, and we took pride in helping fabricate these monumental light fixtures. As part of the plan by the city, the gateway signage will be incorporated at several different entrance points into Beverly Hills. Recently, we were featured in the Beverly Hills Patch for our work in lighting design and architectural ornamentation.

We have fabricated other monumental fixtures for several other large scale projects, including the Pershing Square Building and the Ambrose Hotel.

Of course, we are very proud to participate in the Beverly Hills project and look forward to being a part of the historical landscape that makes the city a choice for refined, luxurious and stylish living in the Los Angeles region.

ADG Featured in Latest Issue of Robb Report

We were thrilled to find out that our work at the Greystone Mansion designer showcase back in November was featured in the May/June issue of Robb Report Home & Style! We worked with L’Esperance Design to recreate the design tastes of business and media mogul William Randolph Hearst. We selected atelier chrome fixtures and lamps that formerly sat at the Hearst estate for the showcase. Check out the feature in the latest issue.
