Spread the Word

Almost every great architect who ever lived has designed a beautiful piece of furniture. Whether the furniture we speak about is the Wiggle Chair designed by Canadian architect Frank Gehry, the Barcelona Chair designed by German American architect Mies van der Rohe, or the Nelson Platform Bench designed by American architect George Nelson, the designs live on for future generations to enjoy.

Furniture design by architects is a “thing” and is considered an excellent investment, like fine artwork, and all are encouraged to invest.

Furniture design by architects has to do with who they were and their contribution to the world with their God-given talent – and of course, their unique style encapsulated in that piece of furniture.

Today, if you want to buy a replica of any of the pieces mentioned above or any other furniture that carries the name of an established, well-known architect, you will have to go to a unique high-end specialty furniture store.

The names of the architects that created the furniture design are akin to what we know today as influencers. So their names and buildings are built-in marketing and branding. We find that interesting, but since our world deals in design and our boss, Gerald Olesker, has a degree in architecture, we agree that architects represent quality.

If there is such a thing as perfection, trust us, an architect designed it. Since a fraction of an inch makes a difference, architects want perfection, and they create with this in mind.

American industrial designer George Nelson has a famous quote, “Total design is nothing more or less than a process of relating everything to everything.” Perhaps that’s why their furniture designs are always functional and beautiful. Plus, they go up in value.

If you are looking to have a beautiful replica of a famous piece of furniture made by an incredible artist with a degree in architecture, look no further.
