We were delighted when we heard the news that the 25,000 square foot Mediterranean villa formerly owned by GUESS co-founder Armand Marciano was finally sold to none other than music legend Elton John and his husband David Furnish. Sold for a whopping $33 million, the property had been on the market since 2011, when it was listed for an asking price of $63 million.

ADG Lighting had worked with Michael Berman to design and manufacture custom lighting for the property back in the day when Marciano owned the estate. With seven bedrooms, three en suite staff bedrooms, 10 full and 12 half bathrooms, nine fireplaces, and an 11-car subterranean garage, the property was certainly a feat of magnificent proportions! Located in Beverly Hills, the expansive property also features a mosaic tiled swimming pool, a pool house with its own kitchen and pizza oven, and a lighted tennis court.

All of the couture light fixtures designed by ADG’s principal, Gerald Olesker, were ink on trace and then digitized. All of the handmade fixtures were wrought iron and handmade oil rubbed bronze brass light fixtures. Interior decorative sconces and modern custom light fixtures were also developed by Gerald Olesker with Michael Berman.

The 20-acre property, custom built in 2001, has been on and off the market for the past four years. The estate was on cover of the premier issue of Robb Home & Luxury, published by Adele Cygelman. Designed for entertaining on a large scale, this home will be part of Elton John’s portfolio of luxurious properties; he owns other homes in Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Windsor, and London.
